Children’s Ministry

At Christ Covenant, we believe in the essential importance of Bible-centered teaching for children of all ages. It is our goal to acquaint them with “the sacred writings which are able to make [them] wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus” so that they may glorify God and enjoy Him forever. While the primary duty of training children in knowledge of the Lord has been given to parents, we are committed to assisting them as part of the larger family of Christ.

We love families by coming alongside them to offer:

At Christ Covenant we see children as part of our covenant community and therefore include them in our corporate worship. A volunteer staffed nursery is provided for little ones age three and under. Children older than this participate in all the elements of our weekly service alongside their families, learning to sing and pray and listen to the preaching of the Scriptures as integral members of the local Body of Christ.

Family Devotions:

These devotions are meant to serve your family, so adapt them to fit your needs. Pick and choose the sections that work for your situation or use different sections on different days; try only one suggested application activity, or go for them all. The goal is not achieving a formula, but helping your kids understand and apply  God’s Word, particularly as it has been preached from the Christ Covenant pulpit.

Making Parenting in a Digital World Easier

Fighting fire with fire, the National Center on Sexual Exploitation has just launched a new AI platform designed to help families navigate today’s digital landscape by bringing parents together with the most trusted resources out there. Their Parent Center chat box can help with questions such as: Can you provide steps for implementing parental controls while setting up a new iPhone for a teen?  My child is currently being extorted by a sexual predator on Roblox. He’s threatening to release sexual images of my kid. What should I do? My 8-year-old has access to our family’s tablet. Even with heavy restrictions, I’m worried he will come across dangerous content. How do I begin a conversation with a kid so young about the harms of pornography? Any question you have about child online safety, you can ask the Parent Center AI tool. “We’ve received assurances that the NCOSE team has worked very hard to make the tool safe for all visitors, and they’ve made it without using a “companion AI” avatar–something we caution parents to avoid. AI is a tool–it’s not our friend.”
