About a month ago, many of you filled out surveys online or on paper. I wanted to let you know your voices have been heard! Thank you all so much for you timely responses!
One thing was clear from your responses– women want to be together, to get to know each other, and to just have fun! So, beginning in the new year, you will see some new opportunities to do this popping up on the calendar. We hope you will take opportunities to get to join in with others to play games, have some coffee, make something with your hands or read something interesting! Here’s what you can look forward to:
Book Club: The women’s Book Club will meet monthly starting in January on the first Saturday morning of each month through May. Watch your bulletins and the church website for specific books we will be reading.
Fiber Arts: Do you knit, crochet, cross-stitch, embroider, hook rugs – or do some other fiber-related craft? Would you like to learn one of these? Come join us for some fiber fun and plenty of conversation as we work. The Fiber arts group will meet monthly starting in January, on the third Friday night of the month. Watch your bulletins for meeting place and times!
Coffee Club: Plans are underway for women to gather at local coffee shops just to enjoy one another’s company and a hot cup of coffee, tea or cocoa! Watch your bulletins and the church calendar for where these gatherings will pop up!
Game Nights: These are already happening on the second Friday nights of each month, except for December! Come join in with card or board games, great snacks and even better conversation and fun! Check the bulletin for locations – we alternate between Linda Young’s and Luana Roof’s homes.
Movie Nights: Join other women to watch a movie you might not have heard of, but which we can enjoy watching together! These will pop up as the opportunity (and a good movie!) arises!
I’m sure that among these opportunities you will find at least one that you could look forward to. All of them will provide a way to get to know some women you only see across the sanctuary on Sundays, so come join us for one or more of these fellowship times. Want to host or help in some way?
